Adelaide has five go-kart tracks and for a city its size, that is a seriously good selection. You have indoor and outdoor venues, electric and petrol karts, and tracks spread across the metro so there is usually something nearby. OZ EKARTS in Holden Hill is the top rated track in Adelaide at 4.8 on Google. It is indoor electric and runs a tight, well designed circuit. Families love it because the venue is clean and well organised, but the karts are quick enough that adults have a proper blast too. It is a safe bet for birthday parties or a casual session after work. XKarts in Evanston South (near Gawler) has a 4.7 rating and offers outdoor petrol karting on a proper circuit. If you want the real deal with engine noise and open air racing, this is where you go. The track is a bit further out from the city centre but the drive is worth it for the experience. Pro Karts in Pooraka is another outdoor petrol option with a 4.6 rating and a convenient location in the northern suburbs. Kartmania at Gepps Cross does outdoor electric, which is a bit of an unusual combo. P1 Entertainment Complex in Hindmarsh rounds out the options with indoor electric karts and a full entertainment centre setup. Adelaide's climate is great for karting. You can race outdoors most of the year. Summer can get hot but it is dry heat, so morning sessions are fine. Winter is mild and actually perfect conditions for outdoor tracks because the cooler air helps the karts run better. Prices across Adelaide are generally a bit lower than Sydney or Melbourne, which is one of the perks of racing here. Most tracks charge between $20 and $45 for a standard session.
