About iPlay Belconnen

iPlay Belconnen in Canberra's Belconnen suburb offers indoor go-karting combined with an enormous entertainment complex featuring arcade games and various attractions. Petrol karts keep things lively, making plenty of noise and delivering that classic karting feel. The venue caters brilliantly to parties and kids' birthday events with dedicated spaces and packages. However, visitors have experienced mixed results with the overall facilities. Multiple reports mention arcade machines that don't work properly or malfunction shortly after payment, which frustrates guests expecting good value for their money. Customer service experiences vary significantly; while some staff like Justine have earned genuine praise for being welcoming and genuinely helpful, others have seemed dismissive when issues arise. Booking ahead is recommended, and asking about current machine functionality before committing your cash makes sense. The venue has real potential for a fun outing if games are actually working on your visit day.

Called in to make a booking and was helped by the most darling woman of all time named Justine. She was so sweet and charming, seriously a joy to talk to. Total sweetheart, and if her service is indicative of the rest of the staff, then I am thrilled to be going :)

Went to go play some games, half of the machines weren't working or would break once payed for, when trying to fix card issues that's came from the machines scamming money off cards, the workers were un-polite and almost seemed bothered to help. Huge waste of money definitely wouldn't recommend anymore, was much better back in the day.

Most games are broken in some way or not refilled. Games are $3each for single player only. Good selection of claw machines, if they had been filled.

I like all the games. It would be good if they were kept in better condition. There’s only one toilet and it never works properly. The customer service could also be better.

A huge fun gaming area for children and adults that is basically like a mini children's casino. It's extremely loud and bright so staying too long can result in a headache. The prices seem reasonable but the money won't last long as the kids swipe their way through the games at a fast pace. Better to let them pick their favourites beforehand if on a budget and allocate a certain amount of dollars. They work with a card system, not coins. Money is loaded onto the card and then swiped at each game. Tickets can be spent at the counter on a large variety of toys and items. The dodgem cars are $6 a car and it's fun for the few minutes it lasts. In the past they allowed my young son to sit on an adults lap which resulted in him smashing his teeth into the steering wheel. An extremely upsetting incident put down to young staff not thinking of consequences or following rules. The staff I've encountered since have been helpful though and I've had no more problems. There is also a huge party room, lasertag, bowling and pool tables available. Plus the cafe has reasonably priced food and drinks and the coffee is alright if you aren't too fussy. As someone with chronic back pain, I have been happy in the past to pop in by myself and use the massage chair situated up the back near the pool tables. It's moderately quieter up there and you can enjoy a $3.50 coffee and a $2 massage for a few minutes. It's a nice secret that I shouldn't really be sharing haha. During the day when school is on its not as full of children too so it's a lovely get away spot after doing your groceries.
